Pathfinder Notices

  • Adventurer Camporee 2009 was without doubt a blessing to all who attended. We now need to plan for next year.
    Adventurer Camporee 2010
    will be in England while Camporee for Pathfinders will be in Finland. The flights to Finland per person will be approx £600. Travel via coach and ferries is cheaper but will take too long.
    We need to begin fundraising in earnest.

Main Church Dates

  1. The Bulletin: The Church Bulletin will be printed on Thursday, So can ALL information be sent to the Bulletin Compiler by Tuesday, anything received after Wednesday will go in the following Week bulletin. Thank You.
  2. ‘All Sports Women Team’: We are setting up an ‘ All Sports Women Team’. The sports we hope to play will vary from Football to Volleyball. We welcome any further sport suggestions. If you would like to join the team, then please contact Martyn Lee, Nikki, or Laurelle to have your name put on the list.
  3. As part of the Women Team ” All Sport”, Lottie is proposing a Freezbie sport session on Sunday the 24th of February 2010 at 10:00 am ’til 12:00 pm. The location is in the park across Crterknowle church. All are welcome to join. Let’s Have fun!
  4. Ingathering is coming up, please begin to collect your coins to make a dynamic start.
  5. The Tursday “Drop In” centre restarts on March 4th 10AM – 2PM
  6. Prayer meeting continues with the theme- Prayer, Praise and Proclaim. Come let us seek our God, let us praise his name, let us find power to overcome every hour. 7.30pm Wednesday night.
  7. All Night prayer 13 march 8pm to 5am…the theme is “the Leader, Jesus”. All are welcome to come out and seek the Lord’s face in prayer.
  8. Youth Week of Prayer 21 march- 27 march…every night 7pm …Saturday 27th at 4pm…please invite friends and family and pray for the moving of Holy Spirit during the week.
  9. April Month of Evangelism is coming up. A time to invite friends, pray for neighbours and invite them, invite your friends, each Sabbath day here at Carterknowle. Let us use this month as a time to win and influence peopel for Christ and invite them to the church services. This month will serve as a follow up to the Youth Week of Prayer in March and will conclude with a baptism.
  10. Street pastors is progressing with another training session taking place Saturday 27 February. Please continue to pray for this effort to reach young people on the Streets of Sheffield for Christ. It is planned that the first street pastors will be on the streets withing the next few weeks. Please continue to pray for this program as without prayer, it shall be no more than another good idea. If you would like to become a Street Pastor prayer supporter which will be to pray for the program systematically, or to become a street pastor, contact our Pastor, Andrew, when he returns.
  11. Prayer meeting continues each wednesday. Let us take the time to come to pray and worship from 7:30-8:30pm. Prayer keeps us going like nothing else can, in a way nothing else can.
  12. Burngreave Church will be hosting the Macedonian Call Friday April 23rd and Sabbath April 24th. This is a programme to encourage personal ministires and evangelism. There will be a host of speakers from across the conference and the SEC. Let us pray and support this program as we may be available. Contact Pastor Marshall for more information.
  13. Let us keep our fellow familly church members in prayer who have recently been bereaved. Let us continue to call them, visit them and remember them in the next few weeks and coming months ahead.

    Youth Power Hour: Dr Eric Walsh (MD Loma Linda University Hospital & Part time voluntary youth speaker.
    Youth/Health & Temperance: Nyse Collins (Media/Health educator & youth speaker from Dallas.
    Youth Commitment Speaker: Sebastien Braxton (Director of STRIDE, an urban evangelism project in greater Boston.
